I’m just in hibernation mode

Don't know why I didn't post this last winter, but would drinking tea stop me from putting on 10 pounds again this year?

Miss the warm weather?

Saw these Geico gekko-head fans in Philly back in June. Maybe they'll do one with the Cavemen next year.

What would McCain do?

I took this picture back in June, way before the economy really tanked.

How am I celebrating the holidays?

I’m making a trip to Atlantic City over the break, so I just checked out Harrah's NYtoAC.com landing page for a little inspiration.

I wanted to post this campaign before leaving for my bachelor party in Vegas, but didn't get enough decent pictures of it.

End of Year Close Out Sale!

Since I was too busy for this blog during most of December, I'm going to use the holiday break to unload some excess inventory.
So from now until the New Year, I'm going to post all the random ads and stuff I never got around to during the past year.

What does that image mean? I have no idea, but at least it won’t be clogging up my hard drive in 2009.

Need a last minute gift idea?

HBO is using a snowman made of televisions to promote DVDs of their shows as holiday gifts. This storefront window display is located next to Grand Central Station.

"For happier holidays, give HBO"

The changing DVD cover in his hand is a nice touch.
I also saw it projected at 23rd St and 6th Ave.

AdLand has the TV spot here for their super adgrunt members.

Have a drink to celebrate your right to drink

Hooray! Prohibition was repealed 75 years ago today.

You can check out last year’s Repeal Day campaign from Dewar’s here.

Is your ad believable?

If not, consumers are more willing than ever to call you on it.

sticker spotted in White Plains, NY

Interesting graffiti project that uses the [citation needed] tag from Wikipedia to point out dubious advertising claims.

Bottoms up

Maker's Mark has blanketed the subway under Grand Central with ads.

Sure, they put this ad over a set of stairs. But does anyone believe that's what's they were thinking when they presented "Great going down" to the client?
Anyway, here's the rest of the campaign:
